The MGM/Spyglass Merger went ahead as planned; which enables a shared financial load that now sees the company in a much stronger position to capitalize on its strategic planning and global business interests.
The news comes on the heels of a Movie deal brokered in New Zealand. MGM who co-holds rights with Warner Bros; were paid Millions by the New Zealand Government, to keep production of The Hobbit in New Zealand. This together with a deal that saw the New Zealand Government kow tow to Warner Bros and pass an urgent Law; virtually overnight.
This Bill was hurriedly undertaken and fast tracked into Law; to ensure the New Zealand Government honoured its promise to Warner bros, to stop all industrial actions over pay claims; taken by Actors Equity and The Council of Trade Unions. To stop any further actions that would delay any shooting of the Hobbit and/or see the movie bogged down in legal wrangling for months.
Most importantly, this Law was a deal specifically to appease Warner Bros; who due to industrial actions taken by Actors equity in New Zealand, had threatened to take the movie elsewhere and offshore, to any of several other interested countries, who had already offered huge Tax breaks and guaranteed the Movie would proceed devoid of any Union presence.
Furthermore; the MGM/Spyglass merger has thrown somewhat of a cloud of uncertainty over plans for future James Bond productions. At the time of writing these are still up in the air.

Ron Howard; In spite of Heavy Criticism is Adamant ‘gay’ joke will stay in Movie ‘The Dilemma’.
Ron Howard is taking a lot of flak and is in a verbal firefight with Gay rights and Lesbian Alliance groups. He told the LA Times and writer Patrick Goldstein he was not going to remove a joke that used the word gay from the script of the Vince Vaughn comedy 'Dilemma.' In his written response; Howard explained that clearly; the line needs to be understood in the context of the Movie and its main character Vaughn.
He went on to say; that he was taking additional heat off the back of past TV shows and Movies that had much more volatile content and provocative reference to gays. I tend to agree with him. That the view portrayed in the Movie is not that of Ron Howard personally; nor of anyone associated with the making of the comedy. Meanwhile; the Gay and Lesbian Alliance is demanding its removal.

George Hickenlooper Documantary Filmmaker dies at age 47
George Hickenlooper has died at 47. Famous amongst other things; for his documentary Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse filmed in 1991, which documented the making of Apocalypse Now. The Denver Post reported Hickenlooper seemingly died of natural causes. He was in Denver, planning the premiere of his latest film Casino Jack. The film was scheduled to premiere at the Denver Film Festival. Kevin Spacey stars in the lead role as Jack Abramoff a disgraced and fallen Washington lobbyist.

Yogi Martin - World Class Accordion Player Videos

The man is a legend and breaking new ground by combining traditional, Classical, Jazz and my favourite Blues, with the Digital Technology of today. By way of a Roland Accordion Yogis musical talent has changed the face of Accordion music- as we know it forever.
No slouch myself in this department I am a Guitarist of some note; Music Tutor and an Audio Engineer so I might just know a tad or two about digital effects.
I am a great fan of the Line 6 PODXT Live which is a Guitar Effects Processor and a Recording interface the Hooks into your PC by a USB connection. This Unit is the leader in this kind of digital sound technology. The PODXT Live does for the Guitar, what the built in digital effects processor and voices does for Yogis accordion sounds and some.
The Podxt Live also uses simulators; which is what the Roland Fr7 is- a "simulation" of a real acoustic accordion. It looks like a normal acoustic Accordion from the outside and visually it has Keys etc... but that is where the similarity ends. It does not even have Bellows or wind activated reeds . Inside and soundwise is where the biggest differences are.
The sounds that Yogi accesses through his high tech state of the art Roland Fr7 Accordion are incredible. This is not to detract from The latent talent that is Yogi Martin. You still have to "play" the instrument. That is the telling part.
It of course goes without saying; Yogi Martin is one of the worlds best exponents of the Piano accordion. The Roland FR7 in his hands is taking accordion playing into a new dimension and the new frontier of technological wonders.
As a direct result; we are now seeing a worldwide explosion of young talented Accordion enthusiasts, as evidenced by all the new Accordion player Videos on Youtube.
Oh No! The Metal Shredders have discovered the Roland Fr7 and they are quick to grasp the technology and be the first on Youtube and playing their Favorite heavy metal music on Accordion as we speak.
Me I am happy being able to "dial up" Jimi Hendrix's Blues sounds, Santana, David Gilmour of Pink Floyd and anyone else my heart desires. I also get simulations of Jimi Hendrix's Vintage Marshall Stacks, his recording effects set up. Line 6 have even modeled the Room and studio characteristics, reverb, echo, bounce back into my sound Live! I am in Guitar Heaven, as I know Yogi is in "Accordion Heaven" with his new toy the Roland Fr7.
This just makes a Phenomenal Accordion player like Yogi; twice as appreciated.
As New Zealander's, Yogi makes us all proud as he travels around the world spreading the love and we wish him all the best in the rest of his musical journey.

Rima Fakih - MISS USA 2010, First In Beautifully Wrong?
She got everything wrong... and got Crowned Miss USA 2010, She is 24 year old Rima Fakih former Miss Michigan. The knives are out; the racial slurs are all over the Internet, there is a "she is Gay?" rumor circulating on YouTube and she is barely a day into her Miss USA title?
Rima Fakih is coming in for some bad press because she is an Arab; a Lebanese immigrant to be precise. America is a Multi-racial country, the "new world" was settled by people from all over the world and from all different nationalities. The middle east included.
I am of the same opinion as Donald Trump... Miss USA Rima Fakih is absolutely DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! I thought she made a bad color choice Bikini look "hotter than the Nevada Sun."
I thought she was dressed in a sunset... reminded me of my beautiful Sunburst Fender Stratocaster...
Like every red blooded man, present at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, I am absolutely thrilled and delighted that Rima Fakih won the Miss USA 2010 Pageant.
If this incredibly stunning woman wore a hotter bikini that blew everyone away, I am not sure if many of us would have been able to handle it... Donald might buy her one... better still let her wear the same Bikini and just "dip her in water" and take another Pic... C'est Magnifique...

Miley Cyrus 'Can't Be Tamed' Video Online
Goodbye Hanna Montana; Miley Cyrus shows her sexy side in her new I am now an "adult" video 'Can't Be Tamed' although very alluring and vivacious in a racy blue feathered corset that shows a lot of Miley never-before-seen by mothers of the not-so-old fan base, this is sure to raise more voices than eyebrows. Not surprisingly; Miley has taken to cloning the Beyonce, Brittany and Christina Aguilera mold- in her bid to be an 'adult' rock star...
Again it has to be said; no surprises there... whatever is hot and selling at the top of the charts is always a smart business choice. however; she - Miley, would not want to be the next act performing on the music awards after Beyonce had just finished her frenetic; smokin' hot n sexy set... it just wouldn't work... lol
It would seem Miley has lost some of her uniqueness, but having said that; Miley Cyrus the young sexy woman has definitely arrived and is still a show more than worth the price of admission.
